Game Designer
Role Overview
We are looking for a Game Designer with a strong focus on level design to help craft
engaging, balanced, and highly replayable gameplay experiences. In this role, you will
design, build, and iterate on levels and core gameplay content, using data, playtesting, and
intuition to deliver levels that feel fun, fair, and challenging.
You will work closely with product, artists, and developers to ensure levels support the
game’s mechanics, progression, and overall player experience.
Key Responsibilities
● Design, build, and iterate on game levels and core gameplay content.
● Define level mechanics, objectives, difficulty curves, and progression pacing.
● Tune and balance level parameters based on playtesting, data, and player feedback.
● Collaborate closely with product to align level design with the overall game vision.
● Create clear design documentation, level specs, and visual mockups to communicate
intent.
● Work with art and sound teams to define level-related asset needs.
● Organize and manage level design tasks as part of the production process.
● Research casual games and level design trends, and propose improvements and new
ideas.
Requirements
● 3+ years of experience in game and level design.
● Strong understanding of level design principles such as pacing, difficulty,
progression, and player motivation.
● Experience iterating on levels through testing, tuning, and refinement.
● Ability to clearly communicate design ideas through documentation and visual
mockups.
● Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
● Highly motivated, goal oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of your work.
