The Role
Full, hands-on ownership of the company's bookkeeping through to the balance sheet. You will run bookkeeping end to end and work with suppliers in Israel and abroad, banks, credit-card companies, the tax authorities and internal teams — with accuracy, self-control and reliable deadlines in a dynamic, multi-interface environment.
Responsibilities
- Full bookkeeping through to the balance sheet: ownership of the general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly, quarterly and annual closes.
- Suppliers and foreign currency: receive, check and record supplier invoices in Israel and abroad, handle exchange differences, self-invoicing for foreign services, supplier-card reconciliations and advances.
- Banks and reconciliations: reconcile bank and credit-card accounts in shekels and foreign currency, and control open balances.
- Reporting to the authorities: prepare the regular monthly filings (VAT, advances, withholdings) and check they are complete.
- Expenses: control and process management expenses, corporate credit cards and travel-expense reports.
- Process improvement: build, sharpen and improve working processes and controls in the finance function.
Requirements
- Israeli bookkeeper certification (Level 2) — required.
- At least 10 years of bookkeeping experience — required.
- Proven experience as an independent bookkeeper through to the balance sheet — required.
- Independent experience with suppliers in Israel and abroad, foreign currency and exchange differences — required.
- Very high proficiency in Excel: formulas, pivot tables and complex reconciliations.
- High-level Hebrew and very good English, written and spoken, for suppliers and foreign documents.
Advantages
- Israeli bookkeeper certification (Level 3).
- Experience in an e-commerce company or one with a high volume of transactions and payment-processor reconciliations.
- Experience with Hashavshevet.
- Familiarity with systems such as Zoho or comparable ERP systems.
Location: Tel Aviv, fully on-site.
