As a Payments Data Analyst, you will analyze complex transactional payment data and investigate chargeback and fraud patterns to deliver actionable insights. Your work directly impacts financial performance by optimizing payment processes and identifying revenue opportunities.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Analyze payment transaction behaviors, monitoring approval rates, chargeback patterns, and fraud indicators to establish baselines and detect anomalies.<br>• Collaborate with Finance, Product and BI to build payment analytics and fraud-prevention strategies, and define specs for dashboards tracking approval ratios, chargeback rates, fraud losses, and provider performance.<br>• Set payment analytics goals and monitoring policies, define fraud-detection frameworks, and create internal payment-optimization guidelines.<br>• Recommend data-driven solutions that improve approval rates and routing, reduce fraud losses, and enhance overall payment performance.<br><br>Requirements:<br>• 2+ years of experience in a data-focused role (Data Analysis, BI, or similar).<br>• Strong SQL — comfortable writing complex queries and debugging data issues.<br>• Experience with cloud-based BI tools (GCP/AWS); advantage for BigQuery.<br>• Detail-oriented mindset — spots inconsistencies before anyone else.<br>• Understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.<br>• Strong analytical thinking and a detective-like approach to problem-solving.<br>• Familiarity with B2C environments and user behavior trends; gaming is a bonus.<br><br>Advantages:<br>• Experience with Python (Pandas, SciPy, NumPy).<br>• Knowledge of A/B testing including statistical methods.
