The Role
Lead a full-stack team building monetization features — quests, daily missions, tournaments and reward mechanics — for a high-traffic B2C gaming product. A hands-on leadership role: you set the engineering bar and still ship.
Responsibilities
- Guide and inspire the team to deliver new features in React and Node.js, crafting seamless and visually polished gaming experiences.
- Set and uphold rigorous engineering standards and best practices.
- Drive the team toward delivering high-quality features on schedule.
- Conduct thorough testing of all development work and partner with QA to identify and resolve issues fast.
- Collaborate with data, design and product teams to develop and refine user interfaces, animations and interactive features into one cohesive experience.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on full-stack development with strong React and Node.js.
- At least 2 years in an engineering leadership role, with proven ability to manage and mentor, set high standards, and collaborate across product, design, data and other engineering groups.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Proficient managing services on AWS and/or GCP.
- Startup mentality — resilient, with a strong work ethic.
Advantages
- Deep experience building applications with TypeScript and NestJS.
- Familiarity with messaging protocols for asynchronous communication between services.
- Previous experience at a gaming company, or significant experience with high-load B2C platforms.
