The Role
Own fraud analytics for a high-volume consumer platform — researching fraud patterns, building and maintaining the fraud models, and turning large-scale data into decisions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze customer behaviour, identify suspicious trends, propose solutions and estimate impact.
- Research complex fraud patterns, adversarial behaviours and emerging threats.
- Develop and maintain the fraud models, including implementing new methodologies.
- Analyze large-scale datasets to identify emerging fraud trends, patterns and techniques.
- Generate actionable insights that improve decision accuracy, and guide business stakeholders on model usage, impact and implementation.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments, including product managers, data scientists and data engineers.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience as a Fraud Analyst or a Business Analyst.
- High proficiency in SQL and experience querying large and complex data sets.
- Self-reliant and proactive, able to work independently and drive projects forward with minimal supervision.
- Able to manage multiple tasks at a time in a fast-paced environment.
- An exceptional ability to understand data and transform it into insight.
- A BA/BSc in Statistics, Industrial Engineering or another quantitative field.
